Does the job. The puppies can chase their glowing balls on the field and roam freely around the camp, but never go unnoticed. Up close, blue is brighter. This one is brighter from a distance. Blue has a shorter wavelength. They survive in the water, but after a decent amount of water they play briefly and stay lit until dry. As far as I can remember I try to take them off before the puppies jump. Red is still in top form. My 1 year old removed the collar and the blue one was completely disassembled and chewed in under five minutes. Now he is practically not afraid of water.
