Love this item. I dehydrate all of our fruit from our farmers markets. My dehydrators are open 24 hours a day. I usually take old school out of goodwill, they still fit great, but I wanted something bigger and not round. I'm used to paying $5 for my dehydrators because I'm a cheap prick but decided to give myself a new one. I did some research and settled on this one. It's twice as fast as the 8 others I have and I don't have to flip the trays halfway. It seems to be holding up a little longer than my rounds. I don't really like hard plastic trays because things tend to get stuck and it's difficult to separate small pieces, so I end up with lots of small torn apple circles instead of flexible plastic that you can bend to pop out. pieces away. So I still use other sticker dehydrators. It's a big box on your counter, so it doesn't save space. That doesn't mean you can stick it in a corner and it harmonizes. Overall I'm happy with it, but haven't used it long enough to know how durable it is. All my goodwill samples are over 5-6 years old and working well so I'm curious to see if this 'new' technology will last that long.
