This wire is a lot better than the cheap mess that came with my Petsafe dog fence for unruly dogs. I was surprised at how big and heavy the roll was. Wire is more difficult to work with because it's very thick, but I have no doubt that it will last a lot longer than yellow. Make sure you have wire strippers and pliers. You won't twist it with your fingers or strip the wire with your teeth (not that I'm trying, but I know some people do). This company also makes pre-stranded wire that accompanies this product. I also highly recommend it because twisting that wire would be quite labor intensive! My only complaint is that I'm not sure the length will cover as much ground as they claim. I have just over an acre and a half and bought what should have been enough to cover 2 acres. I didn't have enough. My property is shaped like a teardrop and I had to cut off the entire tip of the teardrop to make it work. any extra wire from that reel.
