First of all, I do not understand why this product has received such a high rating. I agree with all lower ratings. I think the price is really good, they opened it, put it in the tank, saw the light came on and wrote a good review. This heater is not reliable. temperature is far away. I set it to 82, it stayed overnight and the temp was closer to 70 degrees. I knew better not to go cheap on something like this. I have some pretty expensive turtles and have seen some reports of the heater cracking and killing the fish. I wouldn't doubt it. Just buy a more expensive, quality heater and save yourself headaches and animal deaths.
