Grainy, blurry image

I upgraded my Macbook Pro and needed a VGA to USBC adapter for an external monitor. I bought it based on the reviews but was disappointed to find the image on my external monitor was blurry and grainy. The problem persists despite changes made to the display profiles. This didn't happen with my previous adapter, so I know the monitor is working properly. I'll be back.
