Grainy, blurry image

I upgraded my Macbook Pro and needed a VGA to USBC adapter for an external monitor. I bought it based on the reviews but was disappointed to find the image on my external monitor was blurry and grainy. The problem persists despite changes made to the display profiles. This didn't happen with my previous adapter, so I know the monitor is working properly. I'll be back.

That didn't work for me. (2080TI on VGA monitor)

I tried to display 1600x1200 at 75 Hz. (The specs say it can). However, I couldn't get it to output anything other than 1280 x 1024 at 60Hz. I've tried it on a Macbook Pro (with Touch Bar), iPad Pro, 2080ti on Windows 10, and even a Lenovo Legion laptop. The monitor's default resolution is 1600x1200@85Hz because when I connect it directly to a computer with a VGA port, Windows 10 automatically detects and configures it. I ended up having to order a DeLock adapter from Revain in the UK to get it

Only worked for a short time.

late fall I ordered 2 of these devices for use in my class and my partner's room. They worked great for 3 months and then just stopped. They were both connected to Chromebooks used only with projectors, the Chromebooks sat on the shelf and the students didn't have access to either. They stopped working overnight 2 weeks apart. I've tried connecting to other Chromebooks and computers with no success. The problem is definitely with these devices and they have not been abused!

Works great in computer accessories and peripherals

I am very happy with this purchase. Like many Macbook owners, I find Apple chargers to be poorly designed and overpriced. I've had two Apple chargers in three years that always failed at the same two weak spots. I didn't want to spend $80 on another charger so I looked for an alternative. This charger is less powerful than my original charger, but it still charges quickly and works great. Didn't work at first, but.

When I received the product, it worked for about half a day and then nothing. I left this review and the seller contacted me immediately. They sent me a new adapter and the same result. They speculated that my VGA cable was the culprit, but the cable I used still worked (testing with my old adapter and Lightning to USB-C. Not perfect anyway).
