I am very happy with this purchase. Like many Macbook owners, I find Apple chargers to be poorly designed and overpriced. I've had two Apple chargers in three years that always failed at the same two weak spots. I didn't want to spend $80 on another charger so I looked for an alternative. This charger is less powerful than my original charger, but it still charges quickly and works great. This is only the half of the cable that goes from the box to the computer, so I was able to use the other half of the Apple cable that wasn't damaged. My computer charges in about 45 minutes - same as with an Apple charger. And while the box does get warm, it doesn't get any hotter than an Apple charger. I have used it several times and am very very happy with my purchase and the savings it offered me over an Apple product.
