Lacquer and rubber tips age quickly.

I can't complain about the price. However if a complaint were made it would state that the paint started to peel off on the first use and the small black rubber tips/end caps cracked or fell off after a use or two. The metal keeps its shape even after repeated use and a new coat of paint or plastic does not harm. A round bent steel 1/4" pipe bender worked just as well.
