When I travel abroad I like to keep my passport, credit cards and cash in this bag. My US passport fits comfortably in my back pocket, credit cards in the middle pocket and cash in the front. The strap is adjustable by moving the plastic piece you see in the picture. To shorten it, you have a loop of rope running down the back. It's not uncomfortable, but it's not very attractive either. I usually wear a pouch under my shirt and leave it long enough to tuck into the front of my pants. I used to carry a money belt in my pants and it was always a real challenge to put it back in after accessing it. It's easy with this bag.
