That worked great for me. Urgent repair
After a cleaning cycle of about 1 minute, my DVD recorder (part of my Pioneer DVR (Hard Disk Drive/DVD Recorder)) copied tracks from HDD to DVD. This lens cleaner has more micro brushes than the other (cheaper) one I bought first, the first one only had 3 micro brushes which didn't look like brushes to me but had roughness imperfections on the striking surface which I had scratched with my nails before using - the wrong approach). So I don't know if the first one would have worked if I hadn't. The first restored the drive's ability to read DVDs, but not burn/write functionality.
