I use this outside my bedroom door every night to keep my cats from scratching the door and door jamb. I used it the first night, I had the beep setting turned on and didn't need to use any other features. I roll one end just enough to fit so it covers the area in front of the door and exits just outside the door frame. I unfold it before bed and fold it up when I get up in the morning. At the weekend I can finally sleep after 4:45. I haven't had it long enough to really appreciate the battery life, but the extra sleep has certainly made my life that much better and hasn't damaged the door or frame anymore. I have 7 cats that hate the horn so it only sounds 1 or 2 times a week and then they avoid it again.
