I bought three (!) different shampoos to keep my very red strands - very red. This John Frieda Radiant Red Red Boosting Shampoo is the cheapest I've bought and I think it's the best for revitalizing my red color. It's thin and red. Washes hair well, dyes hair a little. It doesn't smear or leak. There is a light cinnamon scent that I like. I used my regular conditioner and my hair is beautiful. It dries my hair a bit, but all those coloring shampoos seem to be drying my ends. I just ordered the accompanying conditioner in hopes it would add more redness and help with dryness. All in all I think this is the one I will be using from now on. Others, albeit with a higher price and salon name, have not given me such a red pulse. If the shampoo and conditioner doesn't make my hair too dry, I'll use it often between salon treatments.
