NOT IMPRESSED

I have aging strawberry blonde hair. Never painted and never dried. I used an Aveda product and really liked it, but it turned my gray hair pink. I read the label and it says don't use gray hair. In addition, the price has tripled. So I'm looking for another product. I tried. It doesn't seem to bring out the red color to me (and it doesn't affect the gray although the label says not to use it on gray hair) and since my hair is fine it makes it too weak. I love Joy Frieda products! And they've been hard to find in local stores lately, anything that works for me seems to be being pulled from the market. Amazon ALWAYS has what I need. Great price, amazing results on my coppery red hair (I use henna to really help achieve natural vibrant reds, coppers and golden reds). Really helps keep my red highlights red!

I bought three (!) different shampoos to keep my very red strands - very red. This John Frieda Radiant Red Red Boosting Shampoo is the cheapest I've bought and I think it's the best for revitalizing my red color. It's thin and red. Washes hair well, dyes hair a little. It doesn't smear or leak. There is a light cinnamon scent that I like. I used my regular conditioner and my hair is beautiful. Well! Read the instructions!

first wash: the shampoo dried my hair a bit, but after rinsing it was super soft. If you read both products you'll see that it clearly says the shampoo PROTECTS the color while the conditioner says it adds color "gradually" so be realistic and don't expect your hair to fade one wash is super red. I leave the conditioner in my hair for 10 minutes and YES it gets a little red. I renew them next time I wash, but so far I'm completely satisfied, both products smell delicious.
