Review on Universal Vehicle Pressure Test Kit (95-0700) for Cooling Systems by Redline Detection SmartFit by Desmin Dickerson

This tool works as advertised but with a small modification! We were working with an Agco-Allis GT55 tractor and needed to check the tightness of our new hoses. Obviously I was tempted to try this new tool. After looking at the adapters, it was pretty clear which adapter to choose to seal the cooler. Then I take a medium-sized adapter and try to insert it into the hole. To my surprise it didn't fit, the threaded brass part was a bit too big! Now I'm going crazy so I take the rubber off the threaded part and try on the rubber just to see if it fits the radiator hole. Of course it is easy to paste. As a machinist, I immediately put the threaded brass piece in my lathe and turned it just enough to fit the radiator hole. After assembling the rubber and threaded brass part back together. , it slides easily into the heatsink and I start twisting them together to create a seal. I then hooked up the pump and pressurized the system to 15psi and found a small leak due to a loose clamp. After fixing this issue, we repressurized the system and it held at 15psi for over 10 minutes. After making sure there were no leaks in the system, we reassembled the tractor and got it up and running again with no overheating or coolant leaks! The problem is solved and the next repair! Overall I'm happy with the tool, the price and the performance, but unless you have a lathe or your mill creativity I think it's a bit artificial to call this tool outright "universal" I'm only giving 4 stars out of 5 . If you need to edit something to make it work for you, the tool needs a little overhaul.
