I have been giving this to my dog for over a year now. I originally got it on prescription from my vet and was then glad to find out I could order it for myself from Revain - for less. I'm giving it four stars instead of five because I can't comment on its effectiveness specifically for liver disease. My dog has valley fever, not liver disease. Her medication is a powerful fungicide that can be very harsh on the liver, so my vet prescribed it to protect her liver and lower levels of liver enzymes that were elevated from her medication. However, the values dropped significantly after some time of ingestion. It's easy to give and doesn't have many additional ingredients. It does not contain SAM-e. So if you are looking for a product that contains it, this product is not for you.
