Review on Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 205/55 R16 91H summer by Adam Koakowski ᠌

Everything about the purchase suits me, a very necessary product.

I skated for three seasons on a single set of wheels, breaking the sidewall of one of the wheels by propping it up on the curb, and having multiple punctures and cuts in the most recent season led me to take exactly the same rubber again as a replacement. Despite these flaws, I chose to use the same rubber. Because the rubber is so well-liked for its unrivaled tenacity in corners and outstanding behavior in the wet, I did this for the very first time in my 22 years of experience as a driver. I did this because the rubber is so popular. Yes, and in fact, I am quite satisfied with rubber, so much so that I am writing a review about it for the very first time. Rubber for a quiet, comfortable, safe riding. On the track, I travel between 100 and 140 kilometers per hour, and while the handling is generally decent, it can become somewhat less responsive to rapid shifts. Even when there is a strong downpour, I do not reduce my speed; the contact does not visibly diminish. Below +7 degrees, it begins to get brown, and below +5 degrees, it is already uncomfortable and unsafe to ride. This is normal for soft summer tires; nevertheless, you will need to switch to winter shoes. It easily rolls into slicks for the season (I have an example), thus racers should not use it because it is not intended for them.

Pros
  • Excellent traction on the road, including in wet conditions where it is challenging to regain control of the vehicle after it has skidded in a turn; quite tenacious. Gentle, cozy, and surprisingly quiet for all that comfort.
Cons
  • A sidewall that is extremely delicate and susceptible to damage; it can be pierced with the tip of a finger (a trade-off for the ease of the move), it cracks very readily on the curbs, and it is physically impossible to rub up against them. It is extremely sensitive to the track (amendment: the new one is not at all sensitive; however, towards the end of the third season, driving on the track will no longer be possible). a lack of responsiveness to steering, and a blunting effect (again, due to soft sidewalls). When parking, it's difficult to steer.
