In the last few years my heels have become so dry and cracked that they don't even look like parts of a human body, more like rock formations in the Martian desert. I've tried pumice stone and other remedies but they didn't work so I ended up going online to find products for those of us with more cracked heels. Ordered Diamoncel #20 based on the recommendations here - and it works! After just a few minutes of use, I saw a difference as white flakes of skin peeled off my foot to reveal softer, newer skin underneath. I've been using it twice a day for two days now and my legs are already looking almost normal! After using the Diamoncel rasp, I rub my heels with Flexitol Heel Balm to add some moisture. The combination is good but I think Diamoncel really makes a difference and you could probably just use any lotion.
