Received my stool today. Estimated delivery time should take another 3 days but it was delivered earlier which is a plus. The stool itself is leather, good quality and yes it does have a leather smell but not strong at all. You have to get your nose really close, about an inch, to smell it. The color is as rich and same as the product image online. The entire stool that I can attest to is that it is handmade and professional. The only complaint is that I didn't realize at first that this product is just the outside and I have to fill the inside of the stool myself. But in the box they have something artificial to explain. So for me it's ok. I filled the stool with old clothes and it's all done and it's perfect. In terms of size, it is exactly the right size for me as a stool and can also be used as a stool. I am very happy with my purchase. Also, FYI I just saw this stool on sale at Westelm for $299 but I think it might be a finished stool. Either way, it's much better to save big!
