I installed this switch this morning. It all took maybe 10 minutes if that. We have an LED fan connected to a single switch. This switch allows you to independently control the fan speed as well as the brightness of the light. The selector slides smoothly and clicks firmly at any fan speed. Anyone who says that the fan speed has reversed incorrectly must have no idea how electric drives work. It is best to start the fan motor at high speed and then change it to a lower speed as this reduces stress on the motor and extends its life.
