This sharpener offers excellent value for money. I don't think a single grinder is perfect for art pens, but it's fantastic for writing pens. The mounting suction cup is quite durable for desktop use. It will certainly stick to a smooth, non-porous wall surface, but it won't stick indefinitely. For this application the supplied rigid bracket and screws are a must as falling off a wall onto a very hard surface can damage the waste catcher. ***I came back to maybe buy another one for home use as this one was for work.
