Review on HighPoint Rocket 640L Lite - 4-Port PCI-E 2.0 x4 SATA 6Gb/s RAID Controller by Eric Pruett

I am very happy with this purchase. I have an X79 motherboard and needed to add more HDDs and SSDs for video editing. Intel SATA3 works fine on my MB. SATA 2 is suitable for hard drives. The Marvell SATA3 ports on my MB suck. Sometimes they are much slower than SATA2 and I think that from a technical point of view they are very slow. (Yes, they have the latest drivers). So I bought it knowing I would only add 1 or 2 SSDs. I'm using Windows 10 and it was easy to install. I don't use it as a raid so I was just hoping for better throughput than SATA2 or Marvell Sata3. Read/Write was very close to SSD on Intel SATA3 MB ports. Some reviewers claim to be on the lookout for data loss. So far I haven't experienced any data loss while using this card.
