I caught my crazy neighbor installing this camera in the peephole and setting it to motion detection. Some clown left banana peels on my front door, so I left a sticker saying I had a motion detection camera installed in the peephole. Not at the time, of course, the note was just a deterrent. But then my crazy neighbor taped my peep hole and then taped it twice while I was gone. At first I didn't know who it was which made me not trust anyone in the building and it was driving me insane. .I had had enough and spent the weekend researching spy cameras on Amazon and got at least 3 of them. I bought 3 versions of the spy cameras from Amazon and I ended up installing these in the peep hole in my front door. I caught a crazy neighbor with this camera recording through a peephole and taped my peephole in the front door. I also caught him throwing a tennis ball at my door from the hallway steps. Unbelievable! The funny thing is I still didn't know who filmed this? I have not communicated with this person and have never met them before. I started interviewing everyone in the building, showed them the video and found out that this crazy neighbor was doing this to other people in the building. Soon there was a huge chorus of dissatisfaction, fear and concern in the building because I was showing these spy camera videos to all my neighbors. This finally forced the management company to act. Long story short, we found out who this guy was and I kicked him out of the building. Thanks to this spy camera. So I would recommend this spy camera. If I had any suggestions for improvement, I'd make the motion capture more responsive, as I was only ever catching the end of the shenanigans, taking the camera a few seconds to wake up and start recording. I would also have a better resolution. But it picks up sound. The price is right, but I'd pay triple that to get those features in the next iteration.
