Review on Kuman 5 inch Touch Screen Case Holder with Resistant Technology by James Mayberry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very disappointed

I bought a Kuman 5 inch resistive touch screen case holder as part of a kit that included a Kuman touch screen and also bought a Raspberry Pi. The Raspberry Pi and touch screen arrived within a few days. Imagine my disappointment when I saw that the case would not be delivered within a few weeks. It finally showed up a few days ago and I was ready to assemble it. It had no instructions. It's normal for me because I can put things together and it's not very difficult. The hardest part is figuring out what to do with the plastic spacers and which of the two frames is on top. However, if you are one of those who really need instructions, then you should stay away from this product. There are two main things I dislike about this product. Before assembling the case, the Raspberry Pi was attached to the Kuman display using a brass standoff and nut. As a result, the two electronic assemblies remained firmly connected. To mount this case, the brass post must be removed and is no longer usable. The only thing keeping the Raspberry Pi on display now is the HDMI port. The second point is more cosmetic than structural. The housing frame does not cover the metal parts of the display. When I look at the picture of the product in the Revain ad, I see it is featured in the ad, so I should have seen it sooner. Overall I give the product 2 stars. I'm keeping the ones I got because it's really useful, but if I had known what I know now I wouldn't have bought it. I recommend that those who are having trouble connecting things together avoid this case unless you have a friend who can help. flk k
