Review on ⌚ MoKo Band for Garmin Fenix 3/5X/6X, Soft Silicone Replacement Watch Band - Fits Fenix 6X Pro/3/3 HR/5X/5X Plus/D2 Delta PX/Descent Mk1 Smart Watch, Black by Joseph Hall

Pros: Less than 20% the cost of an overpriced Garmin factory strap for the Fenix 3. It fits the watch exactly like the factory strap. Factory silicone strap. The metal buckle is also much thinner and thinner than the Garmin. (The solution is detailed below and in the image.) The finish is smooth black, not glossy - actually makes the Fenix bezel look glossy! So the watch was either too tight or too loose. This strap is so thin that the buckle holes fit tighter than the Garmin strap. But the buckle is made from cheap stamped steel, not the more massive Garmin buckle that looks like a die-cast product. Worse, it's held to the strap by an old-school (VERY) thin, spring-loaded pin that can fail. But don't worry - the old Garmin buckle detaches from the Garmin strap the same way you remove the strap from the Garmin. So if you have ever replaced a watch strap with a spring pin, you can remove the MOKO buckle without damaging the band (see image) and then attach the Garmin buckle to the MOKO band. Huge improvements in feel and action, and you don't have to worry about the pen nib breaking from salt water or sweat corrosion. (Just make sure the Garmin screws are really tight like you did when attaching the strap to your watch!) Second thought: I don't know how long this flimsy strap will last, I don't want it on TRI breaks open water or during a time trial you may never see a Garmin again! And hopefully there's nothing awkward about the silicone/plastic strap that could cause skin problems. The $40 savings might not have been as reasonable if I had to replace the watch because the strap failed and it was lost during an event. Only time will tell if the strap will protect the watch from loss (and if not, time will probably NOT tell!)
