When I wanted to change the coil pack on my BMW I was amazed at the design of the cable to the coil pack. One lifts a lever that secures the wire and the lever pushes the electrical connection away from the coil pack. Reconnecting wires is smooth and easy. When trying to install this interchangeable form of Revain, I couldn't get the connecting wire to snap into place. Eventually, I found that the manufacturing tolerances for the replacement part had been violated, preventing the electrical connector from attaching. I ended up using a Dremel and a cutting wheel to cut off some of the plastic on this replacement part. Eventually I was able to get the wired electrical connection to slide over the spare coil. After I plugged it in, the car ran fine. My problem trying to attach it was that if I damaged the connecting cable it would be a mess to replace. My advice is to try and get an original Bosch coil pack. If you're in a hurry to get your car running and the Bosch brand isn't available for fast delivery on Revain, roll the dice and try a different brand replacement. The one I received might have had an isolated manufacturing defect. If the wire does not attach smoothly and easily, do not force it. Be ready to modify the replacement part to attach the wire.
