They offer excellent value for money and are surprisingly stylish and durable for their value. I was expecting to pay $100 for a set of these stands, not the +/- $60 I paid for them. Assembly is easy, but you MUST be careful not to bend the center support rod when assembling. My kid grabbed one of the center support legs and flexed it a bit (he held both ends of it and applied bending force. The guy is a one-man emergency crew. But they shouldn't bend in normal handling). As a result, one of the stands was difficult to assemble as the exposed threads on the bottom of the stand were not long enough to attach the washer and nut. I fixed it by taking it apart, fixing a slight crease and reassembling. Be careful not to scratch the paint on the underside of the bottom glass mount as scratches will be visible (I left a small scratch on the paint with the supplied wrench). Notes: Be sure to fully tighten and secure the center support. a bar that runs along the inside of the stand as it is the main support for the entire assembly. Also, be sure to route the speaker cords through the stands DURING assembly, otherwise you will have to pull them through, which is difficult with thicker speaker cord due to the center support rod. If you're waiting to run cables, you may need to dismantle the racks to run them. Overall, these things look fantastic and do a great job for the price. I've tucked them in corners where they'd be difficult to knock over, but I might be concerned about nearby children and their stability (with heavier speakers) if you plan on leaving them in places kids can knock them over. .
