I bought this for a Samsung J3 (as advertised). It's big business. Measured from the back it is 3.5 inches wide, the phone is just under 3 inches wide. My phone is in a thick rubberized protective case. This was necessary to keep it in a good fit in the holster. The metal clip just won't stay on my belt. He collapsed several times (sat down, bent over, etc.). I use the "belt through back loop" option. A little less comfortable. Otherwise the holster is solid and looks like it will last a long time.
