I don't know where or how they are made these days but it's not the same. I have 3 pairs of these. One is over 6 years old. The pair I just bought walked around the house for about half an hour before breaking into pieces. The original Castro is no longer advertised on their website. I suspect these are fakes, or they were sold in some sweatshop. In any case, they are garbage.
