Stylish and Comfortable: Globe Castro Slip Black Charcoal Men's Loafers & Slip-Ons Review

These shoes are my husband's shoes when he gets up in the morning. I couldn't buy them at the Urban shoe store because they don't wear them anymore. So I bought the cheaper one. Not as good as we would like. He is diabetic so needs hard soled shoes for support. He loves her. I think he wears too many of them. My grandson loves it too. I will order them again when needed. I need the men in my life to be happy.

Terrible. I had a pair that I wore to college classes every day. I still wear it sometimes. 8+ years old and still going strong. Got a new pair for Christmas. The stitching on the right boot came undone after the first weekend along with two tears. After a few months the left shoe fell apart. Others report the same. The quality must have gone down a lot.

I've been buying Castro's for over a decade and this is my 3rd pair, first purchase in about 6-8 years. They've changed a bit since then, but are still very happy that they're still available! My favorite shoes to wear both indoors and outdoors and when worn they make great slippers. I have attached a picture to show my last purchase and the new one. I will buy as long as they make!

We received this pair after the first pair fell apart on the first day. We got a replacement and this second pair all lasted 3 days. My husband only wears them as indoor shoes so he has never gone out in them! We are mostly just shocked and disappointed by the quality. This is nothing like our previous experience with the Globe. The quality is BAD and not worth the money!

This is my husband's second pair, they have served him for many years. Great fit and comfortable. I like the thick sole below.

Bought these for my husband, he loves to wear them both indoors and outdoors, mostly they are his main shoes. We live in the mountains and have rugged terrain, mud and rocks. These slippers fit our lifestyle incredibly well and he loves the comfort they offer! He had the last pair for several years and wore them everywhere! Easy to wash when needed, affordable and fits just right! Definitely true to size. Excellent purchase!

So they have a very nice aesthetic and look good on my foot, but they are uncomfortable to wear for very long periods without good insoles, and (at least for my foot) they are oddly shaped with standard insoles. that don't really fit the shape of the foot. You also have to be careful with the seams at the foot end as I definitely don't think they will stand up to very active/athletic activities if that's what you were planning on wearing them for. cool slippers, the seams holding the upper part of the shoe to the sides came undone when first worn. Quality control in the globe must have relaxed that day. this is the second pair i have bought

I have been selling shoes for Genseco for 13 years, have owned/worn the Castro line and have always been very happy with it. I bought this pair less than 2 months ago, wore them 20 times and they fell apart. Globes aren't what they used to be. Sad.

I personally have had a few of these in the past so I bought a different color. All the same shoes! I would say they are even more comfortable than they were 10 years ago. Extremely fast shipping and great product!

I had the same pair back in high school and I thought they would be hired, luckily they weren't! I would definitely buy these if I were you, they are much more comfortable and basically have shoe soles, they are not light and poorly made.

Have worn these shoes for a few months, mostly worn as slippers. The stitching on both shoes has started to unravel and now I have to mend them myself or throw them away.

I would have given 5 stars but after the fourth wear there were stitching on the upper part of the shoes. I've never had this problem with others I've ordered must have been a bad batch or something.

I like the style but they are too small. I have size 13 shoes so I ordered the same slippers and they are too small. Tight should have been 14 I think.

I have had at least 7 pairs of these shoes over the years and I have called them "my shoes". Bought my 6th pair about 6 years ago and wasn't impressed with how long they lasted. Previous couples I got rid of to put things in perspective. After a long break...... The seventh and final pair lasted 3 days before the stitching (tongue on the sides) came loose. Globe! Bring it together. Love the style hate the quality.

Don't waste your money spend another ten bucks and buy the original DCs which my son may have worn twice and they fell apart completely!

Worn for about five days, the seams came undone. Had to buy a pair of shoes for lunch. This is the second pair to have fallen apart. Very disappointed.

The first day I had them, after about five hours of continuous use (in the house no less), the stitching started coming out of the right shoe! I see this as a common problem at these shows, too bad Globe make solid shoes other than these.

It's absolute rubbish. I bought a couple fifteen years ago who are still together. I bought these and after three months they completely fell apart. Take them from Amazon, they're rubbish.
