Review on Amphenol CS DSDHD26MF0 025 26 Pin Deluxe Shielded by Cody Howard

I have a controller and a driver board that have 26-pin screw terminals. I bought this cable with the intention of cutting it in half and connecting each cut end to each device and mating the plugs between them so the cable could be easily pulled apart which would be easy to weatherproof. No luck, connecting one half of the cut cable to the controller caused the controller to experience crosstalk and feedback. So instead of using that brand of cable I had to use a ribbon cable and run some flexible conduit to protect it from the elements. I knew I would lose any chance of a return due to my intended use, but I had no way (or reason) to test the cable for quality before installing it. I was very disappointed with Amphenol. bad when a ribbon cable outperforms such a cable. and no, there were no shorts, I checked. only insufficient shielding of the wires under load.
