I have followed the instructions which were exactly the same as the screen protectors I have successfully installed on my phone but I always have a lump of dirt or something underneath it to get. Once you lift the protective film a little to try and remove the bulge it is too late as it will stick to the film leaving fingerprints on the underside. The bubbles were difficult to remove. I put sunscreen film on the windows and they always used liquid on the window to allow the film to move and push out bubbles. It would make the installation easier if it were possible.
