The handle on the lid is so small and smooth when cleaning. There is insufficient contrast between the size and shape of the handle, its tip and shaft. I can't grab the handle to remove the lid. To take the lid off I have to grab the flange or outer rim of the lid, which is also tricky as it's almost the same size as the cup rim. Also, the surface is VERY slippery when clean and will likely become even smoother if a drop of grease or oil gets on it. All in all I am disappointed with my purchase. I think it's going to be messy because its design means there's likely to be some spillage, which can be dangerous if the oil inside is hot. The mesh seems to be working fine. I just started using it after the first wash. It can go in the donation box in my garage.
