As with many reviews of hoses purchased for mowers, I hear a complaint about stem placement. In order for the lawnmower tube to work properly, it must be offset sideways. All of them are made with a stem in the middle, like a bicycle tube. The stem will not align and once you manage to fill it with air the stem will retract into the rim. That's exactly what happened to me last night. Luckily I was able to remove the tire and tube from the rim and figured out how to work around this situation. I'll post photos once I do that. To update. I removed the tire completely and placed the tube over the rim and then roughly marked where the stem exited. Then I drilled a 7/16" hole, sanded it down and put it back together. The valve is tilted in slightly, but overall this modification worked.
