Most lawn mowers now have tubeless tires. The problem lies in the shape of the tire when purchased. They don't look like preformed and ready-to-mount car tires. They are usually flat and need some heat to shape them. The tube solves the problem of inflation after fitting a new tire or can weatherproof the tire throughout the mowing season. I've always put inner tubes in my mower tires and they fit perfectly. It's always easier to patch an inner tube than to change a tire.

My Cub Cadet LTX1050 rake is great but the rear tires are old; The sidewalls are intact but have small cracks which will flatten the tire after a day or two. I have ordered A LOT of inner tubes for lawn mowers from various sources for my shop. This is my first time using this brand/company but if this is any indication of their products I will be ordering whistles from this seller again on a regular basis. Not only are they very reasonably priced - I also have reseller accounts and reseller prices compared to the sellers! - but it's one of the few tubes I've seen where the valve stem is in the correct position and orientation. As with many reviews of hoses purchased for mowers, I hear a complaint about stem placement. In order for the lawnmower tube to work properly, it must be offset sideways. All of them are made with a stem in the middle, like a bicycle tube. The stem will not align and once you manage to fill it with air the stem will retract into the rim. They worked great in my Cub Cadet LTX 1050. The tires had a typical dry rot leak where the sidewall made contact with the tread. I used green slime and it stopped flowing for a while but gradually became ineffective. I have a Harbor Freight mini tire changer that I bought about a year ago but never used. This worked great for breaking the bead. I had to inflate and deflate a few times to equalize the valve and eventually it happened. I could have done it in less than half an hour per tire but…
