Review on ๐Ÿšฒ Partstock 1-Pack Bike Chain Breaker Tool - Bicycle Hand Repair and Removal Screw-Type Chain Rivet Extractor - MTB Chain Pin Splitter by Amy Cook

Works great, dismantles 3 chains in minutes

First, this tool is strong enough to work with bicycle chains. Before use, I lubricated the threads of the tool to increase thread life. You insert the chain into the bottom slot, then tighten the bottom banjo bolt up to the chain and lock it so it can't move. Make sure the chain is fully lowered into the tool and the drive pin is aligned with the chain pin. Then screw the tool handle down to drive in the pin. You can push the pin all the way out and it's not easy to tell how far you've moved the pin, so I opened it up to check it out a few times. After putting the pin back in I started moving it along with the pliers, the tool has too much play to put the pin back in without partially reinserting it IMO. The end of the drive tool pressing on the pin slipped off the pin, but the pliers moved it easily enough to finish closing the chain with this tool. In general, the tool has been a success for me.
