Review on 🧲 LUKAT Magnetic Building Blocks for Toddlers and Children by Justin Torres

Not as good as PlayMags

This is my first set of magnetic blocks that aren't PlayMags. I chose this because I wanted balls and slides to add to the gaming experience. When I opened the box I was disappointed that some of the parts were not new, some of them were badly worn. There is no way I would buy it as a gift for anyone for that reason. The magnets are also not as strong as PlayMag. The pieces are also slightly smaller than PlayMags, but also slightly thicker. So we can build larger structures with both sets, but sometimes one piece doesn't work and we have to take a piece from the other set. The guides and tubes are strong enough, but they are too difficult to assemble. My 4 and 2 year olds make it themselves. Which I think devalues it as a toy because sometimes I just need them to take care of myself while I'm doing something else. This box is not (yet) ticked. Despite all that, I like that it was a decent price, several different colors and interior shapes (has hexagonal and round holes in squares, while PlayMags only has square holes in squares. ). If you just want magnetic blocks I recommend PlayMags, but this adds another component that's great for kids who are a bit older, maybe 5 or 6+.
