Great product with a few surprises

The Logitech Cooling Pad N200 is a great USB powered peripheral for laptops and netbooks. After reading the reviews, I didn't expect two things: Size - The Logitech Cooling Pad N200 is large. Look closely at the product images in the Features section of the product description to see what I mean. I purchased the Netbook Cooling Pad as a more powerful alternative to the Targus AWE23US Stow-N-Go Cooling Pad for laptops up to 15.6" (Black), and the cooling pad takes up a lot of desk space. Noise -

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Not sure

Of the three I've tried,

. So over the years I have bought and tried 3 different cooling pads. It's by far the quietest and most efficient of the three. With a two-speed low-speed fan, the LogiTech N200 runs quieter than a whisper and keeps my MBP cool. Other pads I've tried have been able to keep it from overheating, but this one actually feels cool. That's right - with this and your laptop charging, the laptop will be colder than when the charger was plugged in. A higher fan speed is good if I've done something…

Pros
  • is the most worthy of being called a cooling pad. Acceptable.
Cons
  • . Could have been a newer model.

Great laptop, works with cooling pads and external fans

I've had this laptop for a few months now and really like it. The size is suitable for a small to medium sized 14 to 15 inch laptop. The fan does a great job of preventing airflow from stopping or stagnating at the bottom of the laptop. On my Alienware M14X, I can lean the front of the laptop against the front edge of the laptop (some might use it as a windowsill to push the laptop to the back of the laptop, but I didn't) and back onto the rubber pads. This arrangement allows for good airflow…

Pros
  • Great selection
Cons
  • Faulty

Not suitable as a cooling pad, but fits comfortably on the lap.

To be honest I cannot understand how this product has brought down some people's fevers. I have tested it on Macbook Air, Macbook Pro, Dell 15.6 and Lenovo 11" laptop and I honestly wouldn't recommend this product due to the "cooling effect". So for Macbook Air and Macbook Pro I used Tunabelly temperature monitor. .Although Macs do get hotter than Windows, I usually don't like it when they get over 80 C. This product failed to bring the temperature down in any meaningful way and I can safely…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • No insurance

*updated* Not worth it if you have a big computer (17.3 inch)

I tried it on my larger laptop but it still didn't fully cool the whole system. Even on my smaller laptop it doesn't seem to cover all the vents properly. However, I'm holding on and hoping it keeps my smaller 15-inch laptop cool. Cons: Doesn't cover the entire laptop and doesn't ventilate it properly. When it arrived, despite the 'new' sticker on the bottom, the packaging looked scruffy and slightly used. Come on Logitech! Pros: The USB cable tucks away neatly and has 2 settings that change…

Perfect for Vulcan 15 " MacBooks

If you've ever had a MacBook Pro in the last 5 years, you know these things can get so hot they'll literally fry an egg. is an issue we've had with both my wife's 17" MacBook Pro (Early 2011 model) and my new 15" MacBook Pro Retina. We've been looking for a solution. There are a couple of issues we wanted to specifically address: 1) We wanted something with a fan to keep the overall temperature down (because the keyboard can actually burn you while gaming). sitting on tables, but none of them…

Pros
  • Useful for more than it's intended purpose

Logitech does it again!

I got this cooling pad because I play a lot of games on the go and my little car gets really hot on my lap! The fan works great. I use noise canceling headphones so the second speed doesn't bother me, but the first speed is great when others are around or sleeping. The fan keeps the computer feeling cool and the lining keeps the laptop away from my body. It's just plug and play. Low power consumption and amazing portability. The cushioning on the bottom is also good. It's a little tricky to use

  • Easy to read control panel

Pros
  • Efficient USB powered fan: Low power consumption means your laptop battery drains quickly
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

I bought one of those cooling pads from them for $20, it worked for 2 days and then stopped working. No refund at DOA. I'm so glad I only paid $20 for this. THIS IS A FEW DOLLARS MORE THAN IT WORTH, BUT IMAGINE WHAT I WOULD BE IF I PAID $149 FOR A NEW ONE. ***** To update; Turns out Logitech NO LONGER makes them, and any warranty (be it from that little fly company or from Logitech) is vague at best. If you spend a few minutes reading the reviews you will see that even those who give this…
