Clever but frustrating for younger kids

This is a very smart toy system, but structures built with magnetic tiles tend to fall apart at the slightest touch. As a result, my 5 year old grandson was literally brought to tears the first time he tried to play with him. After a few days he learned to build more modest structures and learned to enjoy this toy. The pieces are well made and if you are very careful you can build an impressive marble ramp. However, due to the frustrating learning curve, I cannot rate the toy more than 3 stars.

Pros
  • High score for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Speed

This is the one! Great security feature!

Best value for money! I researched these magnet kits and one of the things I love about this kit is the strength of the material. They even have rivets on all four corners of each tile, which is a huge safety factor. This makes it difficult for the magnets to fall out when dropped. Which is very important when you have small children who like to put everything in their mouths. Kids who eat magnets are never good. I also bought another set to compare and contrast and this is by far the best set!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others

Not for children - disappointment

I am a nanny. I have a set of magnetic tiles that kids of all ages love to play with and will last for years. When I saw the magnetic tubes/tunnels I was very happy to add them to my kits. They are not for toddlers. Pipes/Tunnels are very difficult to assemble and then disassemble. I don't like that I feel like they're about to break in normal play. Also, the magnetic tiles don't seem to stick strong enough to not fall apart immediately after assembly, which is very difficult and frustrating…

Interesting for older children but can be frustrating.

It's all about expectations, what's realistic for kids that age and what you want to teach kids. The tiles themselves are sturdy but I didn't expect from the pictures that our 7 year old eldest son who played with lots of magnetic tile toys at home and school would assemble these himself from the start. He was definitely frustrated and frustrated that things were falling apart at first. And those things are pretty unforgivable. I mean you see some images with long/tall vertical line tiles and I

Not as good as PlayMags

This is my first set of magnetic blocks that aren't PlayMags. I chose this because I wanted balls and slides to add to the gaming experience. When I opened the box I was disappointed that some of the parts were not new, some of them were badly worn. There is no way I would buy it as a gift for anyone for that reason. The magnets are also not as strong as PlayMag. The pieces are also slightly smaller than PlayMags, but also slightly thicker. So we can build larger structures with both sets, but…

Insightful and entertaining!

Bought for a child but my husband seems to like it better! You can build simple or more complex structures to meet the needs of different ages and present different concepts. The only downside is that we feel the need for more magnetic pieces (seems like we need to add as there are a lot of gutters compared to magnetic tiles). ) and as others have pointed out, non-magnetic parts (like magnetic tiles with grooves) are not easy to put together, so a small child cannot put them together alone. Of…
