Review on πŸ”§ Beadsmith Wire Bending Pliers: Create 6 Size Loops & Jump Rings, 2-9mm - Comfort Grip Handle - Essential Jewelry Making Tool by Angela Rodriguez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Work for what I want (making loops in rivets and grommets)

I bought these because I wanted to make the same loops on the ends of the pins and eyepins. I don't really care about the bows I make on necklaces, but poorly made/asymmetric bows don't look good on earrings as they can cause items to hang incorrectly. the same loop size each time. (I don't think I'll ever make jump rings - I just don't have the patience for that.) Because each section is a cylinder, not part of a cone, each section is the same diameter throughout the section. For reference, they have six different sections (three on each side). You are well managed. I have very small hands with weak wrists, but that's not a problem; I can still manage them. The handle is covered with some kind of plastic or vinyl, it is comfortable to hold and does not slip in your hand. (There was no plastic or chemical smell.) The pivot works well and there was no rust when they were received. One thing people might not like is the way they close. They touch very closely at the tips but diverge slightly at the base near the largest loops. If you're using fairly thick wire (say 16 or 18 gauge) this probably isn't a huge problem as you can still get a handle on it. However, problems can arise when using thinner wire to make large loops. (Because the tips are closed, you can certainly make very small loops with thinner wire, which is what interests me the most.) Overall, I'm happy with it. They do what I need (not a huge learning curve either) and I can think of some extras for future use (I'm just getting started with wire). 3.5 stars.

These are extremely weak. Can bend copper but nothing stronger.
