I ended up using it for everything

Got it for use with various gauges of sterling silver wire and it has handled all but the thickest wire (which can be made into a strong bracelet). It also has an almost magical ability to leave scuff marks on wire, so I ended up using it for more than just bending - none of my other tools are as gentle on silver wire, even very soft ones.

Fantastic quality pliers!

Very happy with these pliers! We originally bought some unnamed tongs to make a deposit not knowing Beadsmith does the same thing but cheaper! The same day I received and used a different brand of pliers I immediately looked for Revain, hopefully a better pair, and found a pair of Beadsmiths. I'm so glad I found Beadsmith as the third party products we originally found were physically lighter metals, moved/flexed more and couldn't handle wire over 20g (I use at least 18g wire all the time)…

Requires practice

I ordered this to pay a deposit for the jewelry I have made. I've only used it 3 times and that was with practice wire. I didn't throw away any of the wires I used and had to start over to get it right and when I have leftovers from the part I make I have that too. This tool will take some practice, but I think it's already a good addition to my slowly but surely growing jewelry toolbox. I wanted the handrails to look more consistent and professional than I made them before I learn every time I

Work for what I want (making loops in rivets and grommets)

I bought these because I wanted to make the same loops on the ends of the pins and eyepins. I don't really care about the bows I make on necklaces, but poorly made/asymmetric bows don't look good on earrings as they can cause items to hang incorrectly. the same loop size each time. (I don't think I'll ever make jump rings - I just don't have the patience for that.) Because each section is a cylinder, not part of a cone, each section is the same diameter throughout the section.
