My wife just used ours for the first time. I was in the back room of the house and didn't even know she was using it until I walked over and asked her when she would start. It blocked both smell and smoke, which is always nice. She made sausages and they were great. Really cool. The thing even works with our super-sensitive smoke detectors. Love it. Then I have to clean it. Dear Jibus, what a nightmare. I'm glad she only cooked a handful of ribs because I can't imagine how you can clean this thing up after a serious roast. In the attached photo I have circled all the details that needed cleaning. The drips hit the glass lid, griddle, heating element and then the drip tray which has a slatted hole leading to the drip tray. I was running out of countertop space to dry everything. It really cooked great, but I'd rather stand in the freezing rain and grill than clean it again.
