My son (age 10) really wanted knee pads when the other kids on his team started wearing them. He's quite slim so I was afraid the sleeves wouldn't hold up my legs so I went for these leggings instead. I ordered the large ones first and they were too big for his waist. I reordered the mediums and they fit much better. He usually wears size 8 pants, which are too short, or size 10 pants, which need a good working drawstring to hold them up. He likes it a lot and we've found that they give him more confidence when he's shooting the ball.
