My son is 5ft 2in (short for his age). We tried both large and extra large youth sizes which he usually wore and they fit everywhere except they were short. When my son got his knees where they should be, the tip of the belt only reached the middle of his buttocks. It would be ok where the youth is large or XL. I think we need to try the male.
