Review on Norpro Cup Warmer with Decorative Design by Travion Matias

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Quality construction - see photos

Wow! That's how they built everything in the '60s. The base looks like Bakelite. The top is ceramic. The light is neon light. All of these materials withstand heat very well. It's held on by a screw, not plastic clips! This heater will likely last a lifetime. But it's built to withstand heat, not shock, so don't drop it! This heater is rated at 24W, which is enough to keep my coffee at an ideal temperature of around 140F. I place a folded paper towel (actually a half-folded full-size paper towel) on top of the cup when it's more than half full. It keeps the temperature around 140'F. With the cup 3/4 full and the paper towel in place, the temperature reached 141°F after 45 minutes. Perfect! I recommend pushing the paper towel aside about 1/4 inch or so when the cup is less than half full. Otherwise, after 2 or 3 hours, the coffee will get too hot (148ft) and taste bad. like coffee at a rest stop. The large Audubon mug in the picture is 3 11/16 inches in diameter and fits perfectly without wasting space. The white cup is 3 inches in diameter. I will update this review if there are any issues. But I'm assuming this thing will last a long time!
