My house was built before electricity so the wiring is standard - there are NO lights in the toilets (and some other areas). To make it even funnier, I live in an extremely humid area, so even with AC power, every other LED light I've tried over the years has fallen off walls or ceilings within hours. I actually didn't even think it would work, but as an optimist I got it anyway. Holy cow! Not only does it work, but it's been hanging on the wall in the closet for a few days. My only caveat is that the design requires the light dots to be pointing up for the motion detection feature to work. It would be MUCH brighter if the light was pointing down, but then I have to move my hand over it to illuminate it. However, I will be buying more of these lights and recommending them to anyone who needs light in an unconnected area.
