I considered a shower head filter because we have chlorinated water, and its gotten pretty hard as well. After 3 washes, I noticed my hair has become more manageable, softer, shinier and less dry! (My hair type is medium density, wavy/curly and dark). As for the hair fallout? I only had a few strands in my hand! I noticed less static as well! The directions to center the thing didn't work. In fact I can't see any difference no matter what I screw or unscrew, tighten or untighten. I am starting to get the feeling I was duped. I will keep trying because if it actually worked then it would be nice to have. I am rooting for the stupid thing but I have had it for weeks now and every time I pick it up it makes me grumble because of the cost and the fact I haven't used it a single time. This cable works perfectly for older printers and computers. The parallel port is still required in some older systems and this cable is reliable and durable. The only downside is that it may not be compatible with newer computers that do not have parallel ports.
