I remember being taught as a teenager the importance of protecting my hearing, so I was always suspicious of headphones for my child. So when I saw that this one didn't get the volume up enough to cause damage, I decided to give it a try. They are adjustable and sit comfortably on my head. I put them on and turned the music up as loud as I could and was happy with the results. It's loud enough that you don't hear ambient noise like the TV, but not so loud that you don't hear a phone ringing or an alarm clock.
