I used it to illuminate a dark corner kitchen cabinet. I added a magnetic switch so it turns on and off when you open the closet door. This particular jig makes it very easy to do such a thing as the wiring and internal switch are easily accessible. They sit right below the batteries. I used a magnetic switch for alarm systems. I just soldered it right where my own light switch was connected. Very easy. Then I set the switch in the upper left corner (see photo). I bought the switch here at Revain (Search for: normally closed, normally open magnetic switch, proximity switch for DC 5V, 12V, 24V). The light itself is quite bright (warm tone). The light strip is completely covered with silicone.
