I was initially disappointed when I received these sheets as they were nowhere near as soft as the other sheets I receive. But after using it, I noticed that it was absorbed incredibly well. My hamster has been assigned a place to burrow and a place to fall off. I would only need to replace the waste area, about once a week, and all the linens, about every 2 weeks. I don't know if my hamster has an opinion on this difference. She doesn't like it when her cage is changed often, so she probably appreciates that we don't have to.
