The reason I bought the Polar H10 was because my Galaxy Watch Active was giving me inconsistent heart rate readings. I compared the two devices and below are my results: - Overall, the Polar H10 shows more accurate heart rate readings than the Galaxy Watch Active (GWA), especially in the pool. - The H10 is not designed to measure resting heart rate. - GWA sometimes has trouble at rest, falsely showing very high heart rates and a possible false low heart rate problem - Nordic walking and hiking showed the H10 and GWA similar results - When swimming in the pool, the H10 showed much more accurate heart rate readings than GWA. - The H10 does not have an option in the settings to adapt to people taking medication such as beta blockers. You may sweat profusely and be out of breath during exercise, but the H10 will still classify your effort as "basic exercise" or even "recovery exercise." Although the heart rate values obtained with GWA and H10 were the same for some workouts, GWA often presented incorrect or even impossible heart rate values. - I really like using GWA as a practical complement to my smartphone (notifications, etc.). To monitor my heart rate during exercise I will use the H10 sensor. I can't give the URL of my in-depth video on this topic here, but it can easily be found by searching YouTube for "Comparison of active Polar H10 and Galaxy Watch".
